Welcome

Education

School Choice

I believe that public schools will continue to be the backbone of our children’s education. Most teachers would agree that public school does not meet every students' needs.

I support parents' right to choose:

  • Public Schools

  • Public Charter Schools

  • Private Schools

  • Homeschool

  • Freedom Education Accounts

School Funding

It is time for New Hampshire to follow the state Constitution and guarantee a student's right to a public education. Every Governor and their legislatures have sidestepped the Claremont decision since 1997. Governor Jeanne Shaheen oversaw the writing 0f a compromise that was found to be unconstitutional. Then Governor John Lynch tried unsuccessfully to amend our state Constitution... It is simple - let’s move forward, do the hard work and fund education equally across the state. Follow the law.

Affordable Housing

I have spent most of my career building homes in all price ranges, many of which would be considered affordable housing. Thinking creatively and designing resourcefully to build such homes formed the foundation for my views.

In parts of New Hampshire there is a steady increase in population and more housing units are needed. I support:

  • Government investment into infrastructure (water, sewer and roads)

  • Changes in planning and zoning regulations

  • Changes in permitting process

An unspoken factor in higher rents in NH is our property taxes. After payment of principal and interest, the next highest line item in home ownership is property tax.

If the state of NH would fund education there would be a major reduction in school tax on the property tax bill. This reduction would be reflected in lower rental rates.

I would appreciate your vote in the primary on Tuesday, September 13th, 2022.
